It achieves 5A continuous output current over a wide input supply range with excellent load and line regulation. Current mode operation provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. The converter can be configured as single output or dual outputs with independent over current protection (OCP). Fault condition protection includes cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. The AN6555 is available in an SOP8-EP package, provides a very compact system solution and good thermal conductance.
